Privacy policy

This website is run by Chris Woollam at Stern Digital, based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, UK.

I am responsible for the personal data described on this page. If you have a question about it, email me at Chris@sterndigital.co.uk.

If you use the contact form, I receive what you type into it: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell me. The form is sent to me through Formspree, a form-handling service, which passes your message to my inbox.

I use it only to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to deliver that work. I do not add you to a mailing list and I do not sell it. It is shared only with the services that deliver and store it for me: Formspree and my email provider.

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Some data is collected automatically when you visit: the fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google's servers, and the site host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

I use the Google Ads API through an internal tool, signed in with Google OAuth, to read and manage Google Ads accounts I am authorised to manage and to research keywords for PPC.

I access account structure, performance data and keyword planning data only.

This data is used only to deliver the work the account owner asked for. It is not sold and it is not used for advertising. It is not shared, except with service providers who process it on my behalf under contract, and it is not kept longer than the work needs.

The tool runs on my own computer. Its sign-in credentials are stored there and never in shared or public files. Data it retrieves is held on that computer, in the working files for the job, protected by my device's security.

You can revoke access at any time in your Google account permissions, or by removing my access to the Google Ads account.

I keep contact form messages for as long as I need them to reply to you and to handle any work that follows. Google Ads data is kept only for as long as the work needs, then deleted. If you ask me to delete your data sooner, I will, unless the law requires me to keep it.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to have it moved to another provider.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

If I change this policy, I will update this page and the date below.
