Trade show video
& photography.
Stand films, visitor interviews and photography for exhibitors at UK trade shows. A stand is a serious fixed cost, and the content that comes back from it is usually a handful of phone photos and a couple of grainy clips.
I shoot so you leave with enough material to carry your channels for months, not just to document the day. Based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, with shows at the NEC and ExCeL London behind me.
FIG. 01 / ON THE DAY
One pass at it, and the content has to last for months.
Stand film
A full stand tour, and highlights films of the stand and the show floor.
Visitor interviews
Visitors reacting to your products in their own words, cut into supercuts and standalone clips. Something a brand cannot buy or brief.
VIP and evening events
The VIP evening function or launch party, filmed and photographed alongside the stand.
Product and people
Photography runs in parallel, not as an afterthought: the stand, the products and the guests.
FIG. 02 / SHOT FOR THE EDIT
Filmed to be cut more than one way.
Everything is filmed on the basis it will be cut more than one way, including vertical, so one shoot day feeds social, the website, the press pack and the sales team rather than a single channel.
The shooting is planned around the edit rather than the other way round. The same footage gives long-form highlights, short-form social and vertical cuts without a reshoot.
That is the difference between hiring a camera operator and hiring someone who knows what the content is for.
FIG. 03 / WHAT YOU GET BACK
A content library with a longer life than the show.
Highlights films
Long-form films of the stand and the show, for the website, the sales team and the press pack.
Short-form and vertical cuts
Reels and dedicated vertical versions for social, cut from the same footage without a reshoot.
Visitor interview clips
Supercuts and standalone clips of real customers describing the products unprompted.
Finished photography
Edited down and split by where it is going: product shots clean enough for retail and ecommerce, people and atmosphere for social, VIP coverage for press.
FIG. 04 / PROOF
Two trade shows for ARMAF, and a return booking.
ARMAF, a global fragrance house, exhibiting at two of the UK’s largest beauty and lifestyle trade shows. Spring Fair at the NEC came first: two days covering the stand and the VIP evening function, delivering two highlights films, three short-form reels and full photography.
That led to a return booking for ExCeL London, with a wider brief: a full stand tour, twenty-five filmed interviews with visitors reacting to the products in their own words, and an influencer shoot built around the brand’s individual fragrance lines.
Three years of festival coverage for ABC+ Warranty
Main-sponsor coverage of The Brit Fest: films, photography and live social across a 30,000-plus attendee weekend, rebooked three consecutive years.

Can you film our stand at the NEC?
Yes. I have filmed and photographed a stand at Spring Fair at the NEC Birmingham for ARMAF, and then at ExCeL London on a return booking. I am based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, and travel to shows across the UK.
What do you film at a trade show?
The stand itself, with a full stand tour and highlights; visitors reacting to your products in their own words; and any VIP evening function or launch party. Photography runs in parallel, covering the stand, the products and the guests. For ARMAF that meant two highlights films and three short-form reels from the first show, and twenty-five filmed visitor interviews at the second.
Can you deliver vertical video for social from an exhibition?
Yes. Everything is filmed on the basis it will be cut more than one way, including dedicated vertical versions. Because the shooting is planned around the edit, the same footage produces long-form highlights, short-form social and vertical cuts without a reshoot.
Do you photograph products on the stand as well as filming?
Yes. At ARMAF’s two trade shows I shot 284 frames across the stand, the products and the VIP guests, edited down to 78 finished images. They were split by where they were going: product shots clean enough for retail and ecommerce, people and atmosphere for social, and VIP coverage for press.
Have you covered other live events?
Yes. I have covered The Brit Fest for its main sponsor, ABC+ Warranty, for three consecutive years, with films, photography and live social across a 30,000-plus attendee weekend. Event coverage is a one-pass job, and the rebooking is the review.

Exhibiting this year?
Tell me the show, the dates and what the content needs to do afterwards. I will tell you honestly what I think is worth shooting.
